Combigan eye drop solution is indicated to reduce intraocular pressure in patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma (vision damage due to chronic slow accumulation of fluid pressure inside the eye) or elevated eye pressure when the use of beta-blockers is not sufficient. It’s designed to reduce the production of liquid in the eye and increasing the quantity of liquid that flows out of it. This leads to a decrease in ocular tension, while the eye continues to normally receive its nutrients. The eye contains a transparent aqueous liquid, which brings nutrients to the internal parts of the eye. However, this liquid is constantly eliminated from the eye, which continually produces new liquid to replace it. When this liquid can no longer flow freely, the pressure inside the eye increases, which may also compromise visual ability.

About Combigan
Combigan eye drop solution is a medicine that is used in the treatment of open-angle glaucoma (glaucoma). Combigan contains 2 different active ingredients, brimonidine, and timolol, both of which reduce elevated ocular tension. What is Combigan?
Combigan eye drop solution is a medicine that is used in the treatment of open-angle glaucoma (glaucoma). Combigan contains 2 different active ingredients, brimonidine, and timolol, both of which reduce elevated ocular tension. Brimonidine belongs to the group of so-called selective α2 receptor agonists and timolol to the so-called beta-blockers. This medicine can only be used with a prescription.
How does it work?
Combigan works because of the two active ingredients the solution contains: brimonidine tartrate and timolol maleate. Your eye contains a clear, watery fluid that feeds the inside of the eye. The fluid is continuously removed to the outside of the eye and new fluid is generated to replace it. If the fluid cannot get out of the eye quickly enough, the pressure inside the eye increases and could damage your vision over time. Combigan works by reducing fluid production and increasing the amount of fluid that comes out. This reduces the pressure inside the eye while new fluid continues to build.
What are the benefits of taking it?
Combigan is indicated to reduce intraocular pressure in patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma (vision damage due to chronic slow accumulation of fluid pressure inside the eye) or elevated eye pressure when the use of beta-blockers is not sufficient. Alone It belongs to the group of antiglaucoma and miotic preparations. Combigan is prescribed to decrease high pressure inside the eye when the use of beta-blocking eye drops alone is not enough.
How do I use it?
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist again. Combigan should not be used in children under the age of 2 and is not recommended for routine use in children and adolescents (2 to 17 years).
You should not use the container if the security seal is broken when you first open the product. Wash your hands before opening the container.
Gently pull down on the lower eyelid until a small gap remains.
Turn the bottle upside down and squeeze it to drop one drop into each eye that needs treatment.
Release the lower eyelid, and close the eye
Keep the eye closed and pinch the part of the tear (where the eye meets the nose) with your finger for two minutes. This helps prevent Combigan from passing into the rest of the body.
Its dosage
The recommended dose is one drop of Combigan eye drops, twice a day, about 12 hours apart. Do not change the dose or stop applying it without consulting your doctor. If you use Combigan together with other eye drops, wait at least five minutes between your application and that of the other eye drops.
