The diet started before treatment should continue during the use of fenofibrate.

• Digestive disorders such as abdominal pain, nausea (feeling dizzy), vomiting (getting dizzy), diarrhea, and
• Changes in blood test results on how your liver is working Uncommon, can affect 1 in 100 patients:
• Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas that causes abdominal pain)
• Skin rash, itching, hives,
• Blood clot formation in the veins (deep vein thrombosis) or in the arteries of the lung (pulmonary embolism)
• Gallstones

Rare, can affect 1 in 1,000 patients:

• Changes in blood test results that show how well your kidneys are working
• Decreased hemoglobin (pigment for oxygen transport from the blood) and white blood cells
• Headache, dizziness, decreased libido, tiredness
• Hair loss

Very rare, they can affect 1 in 10,000 patients:

• Chronic lung disease causing difficulty breathing (interstitial lung disease)
• photosensitivity reactions (sensitivity to sunlight, artificial lamps, or UV beds)
• Inflammation of the liver (hepatitis), which can lead to jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes), abdominal pain, and itching
