Warnings and precautions

People with a history of the following medical conditions should not use this pill: blood clots or a disease that affects blood clotting, such as protein C deficiency, protein S deficiency, antithrombin-III deficiency or Factor V; heart attack or stroke; angina pectoris; any condition that increases the risk of arterial clottings, such as severe diabetes, very high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or hyperhomocysteinemia; migraine with aura; breast cancer; or liver disease

People with a history of the following medical conditions may not be suitable for using this pill, or may need to take it under close surveillance: an intestinal disease such as Crohn's ulcerative colitis; systemic lupus erythematosus; hemolytic uremic syndrome; sickle cell anemia; inflammation of the pancreas; high levels of fat in the blood; varicose veins; diabetes; heart problems or high blood pressure; porphyria; or migraines.
