Tolterodine is a urinary incontinence medication that is used to treat symptoms of overactive bladder syndrome. If you have overactive bladder syndrome, you may notice that you are unable to control your urine voluntarily, that you feel a sudden and urgent need to urinate without warning. and/or that the number of times you urinate during the day increases. Tolterodine is a drug that belongs to the group of medicines called antimuscarinics.
The main active ingredient Tolterodine acts on the M1, M2, M3, M4, and M5 subtypes of muscarinic receptors, while modern antimuscarinic treatments for overreactive bladder only act on M3 receptors, making them more selective. Tolterodine, although acting on all types of receptors, has few undesirable effects compared to oxybutynin (selective M3 and M1, but more parotid than bladder) as tolterodine targets the bladder more than other parts of the body. This means that less drug administered daily is needed to efficiently impact the bladder and thus give fewer undesirable effects.
Known as an overactive bladder medication, Tolterodine uses include being utilised a medication to treat an overactive bladder. Uses also include the reduced necessity to urinate frequently. It can also help prevent a person from accidentally urinating.
Always take Genitourinary treatment medication exactly as your doctor has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any doubts regarding the medicine. Tolterodine is taken orally and the tablets must be swallowed whole.

In this case, continue taking the tablets as instructed by your doctor. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

You should see your doctor immediately if you notice symptoms of angioedema such as Swelling of the face, tongue or pharynx Difficulty swallowing Urticaria and difficulty breathing You should also Seek medical attention if you experience a hypersensitivity reaction (eg, itching, rash, hives, and difficulty breathing).
