About Zineryt

Zineryt solution attacks the bacteria associated with acne (Propionibacterium). This common bacteria feeds on the sebum produced by the skin in the sebaceous glands. This feeding causes the bacteria to produce waste products and fatty acids that irritate the sebaceous glands, causing them to become infected and inflamed. This results in acne.

Erythromycin contained in Zineryt solution is an antibiotic and works to inhibit propionibacterium ability to produce proteins that are essential for their production. This action stops the spread of the infection, reducing the inflammation of the sebaceous glands and allowing the skin to heal naturally. Any remaining bacteria are killed by the immune system or eventually die.

Zineryt solution also contain zinc acetate. Zinc is renowned for having skin-healing properties and in an acetate form it effectively combines with erythromycin to form a chemical complex. This chemical complex is designed to be efficiently absorbed by the skin.

What is Zineryt?

Zineryt is a medicine that contains two active ingredients: erythromycin and zinc acetate dihydrate. Erythromycin is an antibiotic that belongs to a group of antibiotics called macrolides, and zinc has an anti-inflammatory effect.

How does it work?

At the sebaceous gland level, erythromycin exerts antimicrobial action against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis, stopping the breakdown of sebum by bacteria and reducing, as a consequence, the amount of free fatty acids responsible for the inflammatory component of acne.

The presence of zinc improves the anti-acne effect of erythromycin thanks to the anti-inflammatory action demonstrated by the metal in experimental studies. Although the precise mechanism by which zinc exerts its anti-inflammatory action is unknown, it is likely related to the inhibition of mediator release from inflammatory cells. According to an in vitro study in human keratinocytes, zinc appeared to inhibit the stimulated production of interleukins 1 and 6, involved in inflammatory skin lesions. Furthermore, it has been found that the growth of erythromycin-resistant Propionibacterium acnes may be inhibited by zinc, suggesting a broader clinical efficacy for the erythromycin-zinc formulation, compared to erythromycin alone.

What are the benefits of taking it?

Zineryt Solution uses include being indicated to treat moderate to severe acne. With this disease, the skin of the face, and in some cases also the skin of the neck, shoulders, and chest, are affected by pimples, pustules, blackheads, and/or inflammation. With acne, the sebaceous glands make too much oil on the skin. This skin fat is itself a fertile breeding ground for acne bacteria. If a blocked secular gland has become infected with this bacteria, inflammation will occur. This in turn causes pustules. Zineryt kills these acne bacteria on the skin, causing less inflammation. The lotion also ensures that the skin regenerates faster. Impurities are treated, making the skin softer and smoother.

How do I use it and its dosage?

Always use this antibiotic acne solution exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist again.

External use, exclusively.

Dosage in adults:

Apply the skin solution twice a day (in the morning and at night), on the face or on the other affected skin areas, freshly washed, (not only on the lesions themselves) until the total area to be treated is covered.

In general, it is recommended to carry out the treatment for 10-12 weeks, during which period in most cases a satisfactory improvement is observed. If there has been no improvement or if it worsens, the administration of the preparation should be discontinued.

Administration form:

It is applied by tilting the bottle downwards and rubbing the applicator-dispenser on the skin while gently pressing. The amount of liquid obtained depends on the pressure exerted on the skin.

Let dry. After drying, there are no stains on the skin or clothing that comes into contact with the treated area.

This acne medication liquid should only be used by the same person to avoid contamination.

Open the Zineryt jar.

  • Pour the contents of the bottle of the solvent liquid into the bottle containing the powder. (The empty bottle can be discarded.) Cap the vial that now contains the liquid and powder.
  • Immediately shake the bottle for one minute. The reconstituted solution is clear and colorless.
  • Unscrew the stopper of the bottle after shaking its contents.
  • Open the applicator package. Do not remove the applicator or touch it with your fingers.
  • Turn the applicator container over the bottle, pressing firmly until the applicator fits into the mouth of the bottle. Screw on the bottle cap to protect the applicator.
