Testogel

Testogel, manufactured by Besins Healthcare, is used primarily for testosterone replacement therapy in men with hypogonadism. This is an androgenic medication in the form of a topical gel. It comes in singular sachets or in a multidose pump pack. Testogel should be applied once daily. Testogel can easily be absorbed through the skin from where the testosterone enters into the bloodstream. Improvement of symptoms of testosterone deficiency can usually be noticed within the first few weeks of treatment. It is important to avoid skin-to-skin contact post application as the person you have come in contact with may face some adverse effects.

Like any other medications, Testogel can cause the following side effects:

·         Skin irritation and dryness

·         Acne, headaches

·         Hair loss

·         Painful enlargement of breasts.

·         Changes to your prostate gland and Lipid levels

·         Diarrhoea

·         Dizziness

·         Increase in blood pressure.

·         Mood fluctuations

·         Increase in red blood cell count or haemoglobin (the component of red blood cells that carries oxygen, skin hypersensitivity, sharp irritation and memory loss.
