The highest concentration of Relvar Ellipta (184 micrograms fluticasone furoate and 22 micrograms vilanterol) is not suitable for the treatment of COPD.
Relvar Ellipta is for inhalation use.
Use Relvar Ellipta at the same time each day as it is effective for 24 hours.
It is very important that you use this medicine every day, as your doctor has recommended. This will help you to have no symptoms during the day or at night.
Relvar Ellipta should not be used to relieve a sudden attack of choking or wheezing. If you have these types of attacks you should use a quick-acting "rescue" inhaler (such as salbutamol).
If you feel you are short of breath or wheezing more often than normal, or if you are using your fast-acting "rescue" inhaler more often than usual, see your doctor.
Instructions for use
Read the following instructions before using the inhaler
If the cap of the inhaler is opened and closed without inhaling the medicine, the dose will be missed. The missed dose will be safely retained within the inhaler, but will not be available for inhalation.
It is not possible to accidentally administer an additional dose or a double dose by inhalation.
How to prepare a dose
Open the cap when you are ready to inhale a dose. Do not shake the inhaler.
Slide the cover down until you hear a 'click'.
The medicine is now ready to be inhaled. As confirmation, the dose counter decreases by 1 unit.
If the dose counter does not decrease upon hearing the 'click', the inhaler will not release the medication. Take it to the pharmacist and ask for help.
How to inhale the medicine
- Keep the inhaler away from your mouth and breathe out as reasonably possible.

- Place the mouthpiece between your lips and close them tightly around the mouthpiece.

- Close the inhaler and rinse your mouth
- Slide the cap up to the stop to protect the mouthpiece.
- Rinse mouth with water, once inhaler is used, do not swallow.
