Priligy is used for the temporary treatment of premature ejaculation in men. The tablet is to be taken a few hours before sexual intercourse and may help men last longer before ejaculation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Priligy is used for the temporary treatment of premature ejaculation in men. The tablet is to be taken a few hours before sexual intercourse and may help men last longer before ejaculation. Priligy is used as a temporary treatment and it cannot cure premature ejaculation in men.

Priligy tablets contain the active ingredient Dapoxetine, which is a short-acting selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that passes messages between nerve cells and in also involved in sending messages that lead up to ejaculation. Dapoxetine increases the activity of serotonin in the nervous system, which increases the time it takes to ejaculate. With a higher level of serotonin in the nervous system, men can have better control over their ejaculation.

Some benefits of Priligy include:

  • Helps men last longer during sexual intercourse.

Priligy is an oral tablet that can be taken with or without food. The tablet must be swallowed whole without chewing or crushing with a full glass of water to prevent dizziness. Do not double dose on Priligy and do not take any alcohol while you are on the medicine.

Priligy should not be taken every day and is not a permanent cure for premature ejaculation. Only take Priligy once in 24 hours when you intend to have sex.

Men from the age of 18 to 64 can take one tablet of Priligy one to three hours before engaging in sexual activity. The starting dosage of Priligy is 30 mg but if that is not effective and you have no side effects from the lower dose, it may be increased to 60 mg by your doctor. Take Priligy exactly as directed by your doctor.
