Nasacort Nasal Spray

Nasacort contains a medicine called triamcinolone acetonide. This belongs to a group of medications known as corticosteroids, which means that it is a type of steroid. It is administered as a nasal spray to treat nasal symptoms of allergic rhinitis in adults and children over the age of 2 years.

How to use the sprayer

Before using your nasal spray, you should carefully blow your nose to clear your nostrils.

1. Preparation of the bottle
2. Remove the cap by pulling up.
3. Gently shake the bottle before use.
4. Hold the bottle upright.
5. Point the sprayer away from you while doing so.
6. Fill the pump with a spray by pressing down on the push button. This is called priming.
7. Press and release 5 times.
8. Do this until a fine spray occurs.
9. The sprayer is now ready for use.

• Blurred vision (cataracts), high pressure inside the eye (glaucoma)
• Blurry vision.

In some people, Nasacort can damage the inside of the nose in the middle part (known as the "nasal septum"). Ask your doctor or pharmacist any questions you have about this.

Other adverse effects in children
