Fobumix Easyhaler is an inhaler used to treat adults of over 18 years and older who suffer from asthma. It works by reducing inflammation and swelling in lungs. It also relaxes the muscles of air passageways and prevents asthma symptoms like shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing.
This inhaler can also be used to treat symptoms of other lung diseases including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD, which also includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema) in adults. The Fobumix Easyhaler can be prescribed along with a separate reliever inhaler like salbutamol or it can prescribed as your only inhaler.
In an asthma attack, the cells of your lungs and airways become swollen and inflamed and start producing extra mucus, which makes your breathing tubes narrow. During this attack you may start wheezing, coughing or have trouble breathing. Fobumix Easyhaler prevents your lungs and airways from inflammation and allergic reactions that may cause an asthma attack or other breathing problems.
It contains two chemicals as its active agents called Budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate.
- Budesonide belongs to a group of manufactured anti-inflammatory drugs called corticosteroids or simply steroids (different from anabolic steroids usually abused by athletes). This drug plays its part by reducing the inflammation and swelling in the lungs and airways.
- When inhaled this drug relaxes the muscles of lungs and airways and allows asthma patients to breathe easily.
- Use your Fobumix Easyhaler exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Ask your doctor or your pharmacist for the correct technique, if you think you are using your inhaler wrong.
- The dosage may differ from person to person. Make sure to ask your doctor when to use your Fobumix Easyhaler and how many puffs to take each time.
- Use Fobumix Easyhaler everyday even if you don’t have symptoms of asthma or COPD.
