People also ask

What is Diclofenac?

Painkillers are well-known medications that are taken to temporarily eliminate or relieve pain. Diclofenac is a good option for inflammations, since it prevents them from spreading, in addition to relieving pain. Diclofenac relieves many problems from inflammation, as well as the pain it causes. Doctors prescribe this primarily as Gout Medication, in addition to being medicine for severe menstrual pain, headache, and migraine.

How does it work?

Diclofenac works mainly by being an inflammation reliever, for example in the joints. The inflammations can cause sharp pain; by reducing them, and by the analgesic effect, the pain is greatly relieved. If you have joint inflammation, your doctor will prescribe diclofenac to reduce symptoms as much as possible. In addition, the medicine also prevents them from swelling. Diclofenac is also often prescribed for menstrual pain. During menstruation, women can experience annoying pain in the back and abdomen. The discomfort is often very intense and the doctor prescribes this medicine. The active substance, also called diclofenac, relieves menstrual pain. It is often started one day before menstruation, to minimize discomfort. This makes cramps in the uterus and abdomen less painful.

What are the benefits of taking it?

Diclofenac belongs to the group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs used to treat pain and inflammation. Diclofenac uses include treatment for the following conditions:

  • Chronic inflammatory    rheumatic    diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylopoietic spondyloarthritis, osteoarthritis),
  • Extra-articular rheumatism,
  • Acute gout attacks,
  • Period pains,
  • Post-traumatic inflammation.

How do I use it and its dosage?

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist again.

The recommended diclofenac dosage is:

Use in adults and children over 14 years

The recommended dose for milder cases is 100 mg (one tablet twice a day). Do not exceed the dose of 150 mg (3 tablets) a day. The total daily dose should be divided into 2 or 3 divided doses.

During menstrual pain, the daily dose, to be adjusted individually, is 50-200 mg (1 to 4 tablets). An initial dose of 50-100 mg (1 to 2 tablets) will be administered and if necessary it will be increased in the following menstrual cycles. Treatment should be initiated when the first symptoms appear. Depending on its intensity, it will continue for a few days.

Administration:

The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water or other liquid, without dividing or chewing them. Take diclofenac preferably before meals or on an empty stomach.
