About Avamys Nasal Spray

Avamys nasal spray can effectively treat and prevent allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis. This includes symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and congestion. It is effective against both seasonal and year-round allergies. Its active ingredient is a corticosteroid called fluticasone furoate, which has anti-inflammatory properties.

Allergic rhinitis affects around 20% of people in the UK. The condition is caused by a hypersensitive immune system – when certain allergens enter the nose, the immune system overreacts and attacks them, as though they were an infection. To protect against the allergen, the body starts producing more mucus, which leads to symptoms such as congestion and sneezing.
