What is Vaniqa?

Vaniqa is indicated for the treatment of facial hirsutism in women, delaying hair growth through eflornithine that irreversibly inhibits ornithine decarboxylase, an enzyme involved in the production of the hair follicle.

Vaniqa Cream uses include the ability to decrease the speed of hair growth, after 8 weeks of treatment, improvement was observed in parameters, such as the length and density of the hair and the darkening of the skin associated with the presence of terminal hair. After treatment with Vaniqa, the self-assessment of the patients showed a significant reduction in psychological discomfort with the condition.

How does it work?

Vaniqa retards hair growth through its effect on an enzyme involved in hair formation. Does not remove hair. It is not a depilatory cream so you will have to continue removing it, for example, shaving or waxing. The improvement can be seen as early as 2 months after the start of treatment. If you do not see any benefit after using it for 4 months, consult your doctor. If you stop using it, your hair will return to normal growth in 2 months.

What are the benefits of taking it?

Vaniqa is a dermatological cream for the treatment of hirsutism, which is the name given to excess hair in women. The treatment works by decreasing the speed of hair growth, interfering with the action of a certain enzyme in the body. It is designed to be applied twice a day, and normally produces visible results from the second month of treatment.

How do I use it and its dosage?

Always use Vaniqa exactly as your doctor has told you. You should consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

  1. If you have shaved or used any other method of hair removal, you must wait at least 5 minutes before using Vaniqa.
  2. Clean and dry the skin areas where you are going to use this medicine.
  3. Apply a thin layer of cream and spread it with a massage.
  4. Whenever possible, do not wash these skin areas for 4 hours after application.
  5. Wash your hands after application.
  6. Wait at least 5 minutes before using makeup or sunscreen in the same areas.
  7. Vaniqa Cream Dosage is simple, apply the cream twice a day, with an interval of at least 8 hours.
  8. Vaniqa can cause irritation (itching, burning). If irritation occurs, reduce the use of Vaniqa to one administration per day until the irritation has disappeared. If irritation persists, see your doctor.

How long should I use Vaniqa?

It could take up to 2 months before the results are visible. Continued use can lead to further improvement. You will need to continue to use this medicine to maintain its beneficial effects. If you do not see any benefit after using it for 4 months, consult your doctor.
