AQUACEL® Foam dressings give you: A waterproof top layer that permits evaporation of excess moisture while protecting against viral/bacterial penetration,*1 allowing the patient to shower and bathe A soft, absorbent foam pad to enhance patient comfort and absorb excess fluid A Hydrofiber® layer that gels on contact with wound fluid and helps provide an optimal environment for wound healing A gentle silicone adhesive that provides secure, skin-friendly adhesion, easy removal and demonstrated low potential for dermal irritation or allergic contact sensitisation
How do I use it?
1 Wash hands with soap and water and dry thoroughly with a clean towel. Then apply clean gloves. 2. Cleanse your wound with clean water or specific wound cleansing product if advised by your healthcare professional. 3. Ensure the skin around the wound edge is clean and dry. 4 Repeat step 1. Carefully open packaging then, pull back clear plastic covers to the edge of dressing. Avoid touching the contact side of dressing. 5 Line up directly over the centre of the wound, ensuring it overlaps the wound edges by 1cm. Hold with one hand, with free hand remove 1st clear plastic cover simultaneously smoothing down edges. 6 Hold again and with opposite hand remove 2nd clear plastic cover and smooth down the edges. For Non adhesive dressing fixate as directed by healthcare provider
Warnings
ConvaMax Superabsorber non-adhesive dressing should not be used on patients with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to the dressing or its components. Warnings and Precautions: Do not reuse. Do not use the dressing if the sterilized packaging is damaged or open. Do not cut the dressing; the cover must remain intact.
