Aquacel Ribbon should overlap 1cm onto the skin surrounding the wound. When using Aquacel Ribbon cavity wounds, leave at least 2(1/2) cm outside the wound for easy removal.

During the body's normal healing process, non-viable tissue is removed from the wound, this could make the wound appear larger after the first few dressing changes.
